Amorepacific Foundation
  • 책들이 쌓여 있는 사진 Amorepacific Foundation supports various academic research, education activities and culture programs in order to discover the unknown values of our culture and communicate them to the public. Since established in 1973, the foundation has been conducting many multi-disciplinary research activities on ‘Asian Beauty’ and ‘Women and Culture’, collaborating with experts in the field of science and arts. Moving beyond the academic boundary, the research activities focuses on bringing more practical values that can be shared by the public and lead to the discovery of other new values.

    Established in 2007 by Amorepacific Foundation, the Women and Culture Support Project' has been funding long-term research activities in various fields.

    The support has been concentrated on female doctoral researchers and their research results have been published in an academic journal or as a book in a way to communicate and increase public awareness of the importance of academic research.

    In response to rising global interest in ‘Asian Beauty’ from the 21st century, Amorepacific Foundation began in-depth research in 2011 on different values and perceptions regarding beauty between the East and West.

    Unlike the western ideals of beauty focused more on outer appearance, Asian beauty values balance and harmony through integrated experience and, the research carries out in-depth analysis of these values of Asian beauty.

    To date, AmorePacific has published a total of 11 books.
  • 아름다울 미 한자가 그려진 인문교양강좌의 미 포스터 사진 Special Lectures on Beauty
    Launched in 2012, it is a free public lecture program by experts in various academic disciplines which is designed to communicate Amorepacific’s research results of Asian Beauty’ and share the new knowledge with the public.

    AmorePacific, after seeking the experience and research of many experts, discussed the true meaning of beauty in the two sessions it hosted in the past year.

    The foundation also plans to organize other special lectures by inviting the authors of the ‘Asian Beauty’ series and the researchers of Asian Beauty.
  • AmorePacific Forum
    This forum was created to help researchers to jointly study the life and beauty of Asians and seek diverse opportunities in the current trends faced by our society.
    In 2019, the Amorepacific forum was held under the theme ‘Path to the life-sustainable civilization’, with inspiring and multi-layered presentations that seek alternative civilization based on the experiences of East Asia.
    Amorepacific hopes that this forum serves an opportunity to help researchers to freely exchange their ideas and thoughts across diverse academic fields so that the values pursued by Amorepacific can be conveyed to more people and connect to another door for discovery of new knowledge and academic asset.
Amorepacific Welfare Foundation
  • The AmorePacific Welfare Foundation
    was established in 1982 to promote welfare and the quality of life of women in the vulnerable sectors of our society. AmorePacific firmly believes that a more beautiful and healthier life for women is the most efficient way to raise the overall happiness of society. The AmorePacific Welfare Foundation will help women in need in the community, including single mothers and victims of domestic violence, to become fully functioning, independent members of the society and to lead happy, fulfilling lives.
  • 공간문화개선사업이라는 제목과 도면이 그려진 종이위에 연필을 들고있는 손 사진Space Design Improvement Project
    The Space Design Improvement Project aims to renovate old and dilapidated venues for women, living facilities, and offices for non-profit women’s organizations, and turn them into safe and comfortable environments. Once remodeled, the venues will take care of vulnerable women, give them a chance to recuperate, and bring positive changes to their lives. Over the past 18 years (since 2005), the AmorePacific Welfare Foundation has helped remodel 218 institutions nationwide into beautiful and pleasant facilities. Moving forward, the Foundation vows to continue finding spaces that offer stability and happiness to marginalized women.
  • 정리수납 컨설팅이 진행되는 강의실 사진Cleaning and Reorganization Project
    Launched in 2016, the Cleaning and Reorganization Consulting Project offers consulting services on cleaning and tidying up remodeled venues as part of the Space Culture Improvement Project. By cleaning and organizing remodeled spaces, this project helps users keep the facilities they use in top condition, and improve overall efficiency and productivity. This project also offers a chance for women, whose careers have been cut short due to childbirth, etc., to become a Cleaning and Reorganization Consulting Specialist.

    The AmorePacific Welfare Foundation helps female users take full advantage of remodeled facilities by providing various programs that they can enjoy in their renovated venues. The project aims to utilize not only the physical aspects of a facility, but also to provide psychological benefit to socially marginalized women, thus raising their self-esteem and honing their ability. With these enhanced facilities, the Foundation hopes to bring a wide range of experiences and relationships into their lives.
  • Sharing and Caring Project
    The Sharing and Caring Project aims to collectively explore and solve local issues with the members of the community. Rather than engaging in homogenized and regular volunteer activities, corporate employees, students, and local residents work together regardless of their age or affiliation. With this project, the AmorePacific Welfare Foundation is supporting such shared activities so that everyone can experience the joy of helping others, and identify difficulties in the local community.
Korea Breast Cancer Foundation
  • 핑크색 리본 퍼즐 사진 Established in 2000, Korea Breast Cancer Foundation is the country’s first non-profit organization for breast health entirely funded by Amorepacific Corporation.
    It has since promoted the Pink Ribbon campaign to improve public awareness of breast health, along with other various breast health promotional activities such as breast health lectures and funding breast surgery to low-income women and research projects.
  • 붉은색 리본이 대리석 위에 놓여져 있는 사진 In particular, the year-round Pink Ribbon Campaign which is co-hosted by the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation and Amorepacific Corporation aims to raise the public awareness of breast health in our society where breast health is often not recognized though it is one of the most common types of cancer among women along with thyroid cancer. The campaign also focuses on raising the public awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and educating women to self-exam their breast health.
  • 핑크런 마라톤 출발대 앞에서 여러명이 같이 점프하며 손흔드는 사진 Pink Run
    Pink Run is running festival designed to promote women’s breast health. The campaign is held in a relay across 5 major cities of the country around the year. Foundation. The running festival participation fee(10,000KRW) is donated to the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation or breast cancer surgery or breast cancer examination of low-income patients. Since its start in 2001, it has been participated by 372,030 people and donated a total of 4 KRW billion to the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation. Marking its 20th anniversary this year, Pink Run aims to raise public awareness of the importance of early detection and encourage all women and their families to maintain their healthy life through running.
  • 핑크투어에서 유방 모형으로 자가진단 방법 배우는 사진 Pink Tour
    Pink Tour is a door-to-door education service for self-examination of breast cancer, to promote the early detection of breast cancer. From 2001 to 2019, a total of 1,507 education services were provided to a total of 378,829 participants.
  • Korea Cancer Foundation conducts various support projects for breast cancer patients such as financial support for surgery and treatment to breast cancer patients who are financially vulnerable.
    In the meantime, free examination service on a moving hospital is provided to the people in remote counties and villages where medical resources are scarce and research support project provides financial support to medical research for breast cancer.
